LG SL10RG Sound Bar
Amazing sound quality for…

The LG SL10RG sound bar is definitely one to consider for anyone who truly loves an immersive experience in home theater. The first thing I'll tell you, is that if you are picking this item up at the store, take a truck or SUV. The box is enormous in relation to normal sound bar boxes. So much so that I could not fit the box in my 2013 Mustang. I should have taken my F150. Don't make that mistake! I had to unbox the soundbar and put everything in the car spread out, then fold the outer box in half and flatten it just for transport. After finally getting it home, setup was pretty easy. Plug it in, allow it to update (which it seems all new electronics need an update the first time you plug them in these days) and download the app. (which everything also seems these days to be done via bluetooth or wifi) For those of you who love voice assistants, you'll love it. Google assistant built in and is part of the initial setup. I did not use that as I'm not a fan of voice assistants. I was a little disappointed in the fact that the rear speakers are wired, given all the wifi and bluetooth abilities of the system. It's quite difficult to place rear speakers with wires unless you are remodeling your house. For the time being, I only hook up the rear speakers when watching a movie that I want full sound immersion. Ironically, the signal for the rear speakers is transmitted wirelessly to a control box that you then connect the wired speakers into. But the audio, oh man when you have this system turned up your neighbors 3 doors down will know it's movie night. Amazing doesn't even begin to describe it. I had an LG soundbar before, and it was anemic in comparison. I used The Fast and Furious movies as well as the movie Battleship to really tune it to perfection.....and this system absolutely rocks the house. Paired with my 75" LG TV, I have no need to go to the theater anymore as I have the ultimate theater experience in my own home now. Besides the wired rear speakers, my only gripe is the integration with the TV when turned on. Using the ARC, everything should come on together and be ready to go. For some reason, even with my previous LG soundar, the ARC feature just doesn't work properly. Even a TV specialist from LG couldn't figure it out. I have to change to HDMI 1 every time I turn the system on. Perhaps this can be remedied in a software update. Fix that, and remove the rear speaker wires, then this is a 5 star plus sound bar system.
